Goals & Challenges
The goal was to create integrated data and services platforms for company, leveraging Baidu's technology and branding.
Key challenges included: defining ambiguous requirements through extensive collaboration; aligning efforts across departments while customizing for companies' needs yet preserving brand identity; and ensuring technical robustness coupled with an intuitive, user-friendly experience.
Did some Research
B2B product design differs from B2C, the core objective is empowering professionals with solutions that elevate their efficiency and productivity. B2B users are meticulous, basing decisions on rational analysis of effectiveness, optimal usage, and quantifiable returns on investment.
In the initial research phase for B2B, insider knowledge proved invaluable. Alongside the design team and PM, we conducted stakeholder interviews before starting the research project, focusing on gathering industry terminology, processes, key players, and essential tasks. The primary challenge in B2B research was accessing actionable users; we utilized online panels to collect insights from similar users, all financial professionals.
Central to our design strategy, especially after preliminary research, is a deep commitment to crafting a systematic design underpinned by a robust information architecture.

Looking back at the Baidu project, it was an awesome learning adventure! Diving into user-centered design for B2B services, I mixed complex data needs with intuitive solutions. Teaming up with different squads, I honed my UX skills and really saw how thoughtful design can rock various industries, from finance to manufacturing!
